Who we are

PrepareForJob provides career guides, interview practice, AI mock interviews and job listings. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password hash, country, profile photo and profession selections.
• Usage data: practice sessions, quiz answers, interview transcripts and reports, points and progress.
• Payment data: Paystack references, amount, currency, status and receipt details. We do not store full card numbers.
• Affiliate data: referral code, referring member, downline relationships, commission ledger and payout requests.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, security logs and approximate country for currency selection.

How we use data

We use data to provide and secure the service, personalise career preparation, grade interviews, process payments and commissions, prevent fraud, send transactional email and improve content. We rely on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent where required, and legal obligations.

AI processing

Interview answers and topic requests may be sent to our AI providers (Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry) to generate questions, feedback and study content. Providers process the content to return a response and are not permitted to use it for their own advertising. Do not include sensitive personal data in interview answers.

Cookies and advertising

We use essential cookies for sign-in, security and antiforgery. With your consent where required, we and partners such as Google may use cookies to measure traffic and show relevant ads. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings and manage cookies in your browser. See our Cookie Policy.

Sharing

We share data with hosting, database, email, payment and AI providers as needed to run the service; with administrators for support and fraud prevention; and where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

Retention and security

We keep account and learning records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, tax and fraud purposes. Access is restricted, passwords are hashed, payment secrets are stored in Azure Key Vault and administrative pages require elevated roles. No system is completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and withdraw consent. Contact privacy@prepareforjob.com. You may also complain to your data-protection authority.

Children

The service is intended for people aged 16 or over. Contact us if you believe a child has created an account.
